Despite five difficult race weekends in a row, Fabio Quartararo is remaining positive for the German Grand Prix.
Fabio Quartararo has not featured inside the top ten in a Grand Prix since his podium at the Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez.
In the most recent Grand Prix weekends, the French rider has failed to finish the French, British and Aragon Grand Prix, and finished 14th and 10th at Mugello and Assen.
For this weekend, Quartararo expects similar conditions as he has struggled at the German Grand Prix in recent years.
The 2021 MotoGP World Champions' last Grand Prix win came at the Sachsenring in 2022, but since then, has finished 13th and 11th in Germany.
"The Dutch GP didn't go quite as we'd hoped," Quartararo explained.
"Especially in the second half of the race, I felt I had more pace, but getting stuck behind other riders made it difficult.
"We'll be going over the private test data to see what we can take from them. Maybe that can help us a bit in the next two race weekends.
"I've won in Sachsenring before, but in general the track has always been a bit tricky for us, particularly in Sector 2 and 3. But we'll focus on the positives and give it our all as always."
Meregalli added: "Although we had a one-week break between two intense double-header weekends, Yamaha has remained fully engaged.
"Álex participated in a productive private test in Brno, while the Yamaha engineers continued their dedicated work behind the scenes, analysing data. Fabio has also maintained his relentless training regimen throughout the week.
"As we head into the final stretch before the summer break, our motivation to give an extra push is high. Sachsenring presents unique challenges – its layout makes overtaking particularly difficult, so progressing into Q2 and securing a strong qualifying position will be even more critical than usual.
"We anticipate a demanding weekend, but we are entering it with determination to get the best results possible."
