Video: what chatter looks like on a MotoGP YZR-M1

Chatter is a much used term to describe vibration that travels through a racing motorcycle from the track up to the rider, either from front or rear, which can make said racing motorcycle difficult, and in some cases nigh-on impossible, to ride.

It has become, like an 'electrical problem', a catch-all excuse but Yamaha MotoGP man Ben Spies suffered it so badly it is clearly visible 24 seconds into the video below. It would explain why the Texan dropped like a stone from the start of Sunday's race and never recovered, as he usually can do on worn tyres.
