Organisers for the North West 200 have confirmed the 2024 NW200 road races will take place on May 6-11 2024 and feature a shake up of the racing programme.
The event, which is seen as a precursor to the blue riband Isle of Man TT a fortnight later for the elite road racers, retains its familiar early-May scheduling and once more feature two days of qualifying practice before racing gets underway on Thursday.
However, in a change to the schedule, there will now be a Superbike race taking place on Thursday, where it will be listed alongside the familiar Supersport and Superstock races.
The schedule has been tweaked after consultation with the major teams competing at the NW200 after this year’s event was subject to delays and races truncated due to red flags.
Saturday will now feature two Supertwins races run over four laps, with Supersport, Superstock and Superbike contests taking place over six laps.
More details will be announced in due course
