The 2024 North West 200 will start a day later than originally planned to accommodate those also competing in the British Superbike Championship, while Superbikes will also be given greater priority in terms of track time.

Following the announcement of the 2024 BSB calendar and confirmation of the first Oulton Park round being held on May 4-6 Bank Holiday, NW200 organisers have shifted the first day of practice running back from its traditional Tuesday slot to Wednesday, 8 May.

In addition, the Superbike competitors will gain more priority on the schedule, shifting from the end of the daily qualifying programme to one of or the first session of the day. They will also be shorter sessions to help mitigate delays over the course of the day.
