When the Spaniard was walking away from the incident, he was seen holding his right shoulder. It has now been confirmed that he has suffered a displaced fracture to his right collarbone.

Aprilia have confirmed that Martin will now be taken to the hospital to undergo further assessments and has been declared unfit for the remainder of the weekend.

A statement from Aprilia Racing regarding Jorge Martin's condition reads:

"Jorge Martin has undergone medical examinations at the circuit medical centre. The X-rays revealed a displaced fracture of the right collarbone.

"The rider will be transferred by helicopter to the Dokkyo Medical University Hospital for a CT scan to make the best assessment of the situation."

Marco Bezzecchi is also undergoing 'medical checks to his right' after being caught up in the incident. Alex Rins, Johann Zarco and Jack Miller were also involved in the incident but did not crash and continued in the Sprint Race.
