With two rounds left of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Alex Lowes is hoping for a strong end to his debut season with bimota.
The first World Superbike season for the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team is coming to an end as the Italian team heads to the penultimate round of the year.
Alex Lowes has had a successful first year on the KB998 Rimini as he finds himself seventh in the 2025 World Superbike Championship with two rounds left of the season.
The British rider has featured on four podiums throughout his first season on the KB998 Rimini. With a second place at the Emilia Romagna World Superbike Round, and a hat-trick of thirds at Magny-Cours.
Lowes heads back to Portugal for the second time this season, and will be hoping for a better performance than earlier in the season at Portimao, where he failed to score a point.
The 35-year-old is hopeful that the Estoril circuit will complement the KB998 Rimini, and he will have a successful weekend ahead of the season finale next week at Jerez.
"Estoril is a bit of a quirky circuit layout," Lowes said ahead of the penultimate round of the season.
"I’m excited to try it with the bimota KB998 Rimini when free practice starts on Friday. Estoril is a technical track, which I think could play to our strengths in some sectors of its layout.
"It’s a shame that it’s nearly the end of the season already, but I’m looking forward to getting to work again with all in Team22, and aiming to finish our first year with the KB998 as strongly as we possibly can."
