With positive results before the summer break, Andrea Locatelli is confident heading to Magny-Cours this weekend.

The World Superbike Championship is back in action this weekend after the summer break at the French World Superbike Round at Magny-Cours.

Pata Maxus Yamaha WorldSBK Team rider, Andrea Locatelli, arrives at the French Round in a run of strong form as he has featured inside the top five in the last nine races.

Locatelli also had a positive showing at the Suzuka 8 Hours across the summer break as he finished in second place with the Yamaha Racing Team at the iconic event in Japan.

"Magny-Cours is a good track for us," Locatelli said.

"Last year, the conditions were strange with the rain during the race, and I lost a bit the chance to fight for a good result, but overall, we have another good opportunity with the Yamaha R1 there in 2025.

"We will arrive off the back of a number of strong results from Misano, Donington and Hungary. The plan is to keep going in this way – I am really motivated for the final rounds of the season, also off the back of our fantastic result with Yamaha Racing Team in Suzuka 8 Hours in the summer.

"I am quite happy in this moment and I feel good coming back to ride my bike, so let’s see what we can do – we will try to do our best!

"It’s a flowing track, stopping track – quite technical, but we know it works well with the Yamaha R1 and so we will try to push for the maximum result again."

After eight rounds of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Locatelli sits fourth in the standings and has a race win, three further podiums and 218 points to his name.
