For their 'home round' at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team will use a special red, white and green 'tricolore' livery.
The KB998 Rimini, as well as Alex Lowes' and Axel Bassani's leathers, will be in the special colours for the Pirelli Emilia-Romagna World Superbike Round.
Pierluigi Marconi, COO of bimota, stated: "The progress of our WorldSBK racing project goes hand in hand with the continuous development of the bimota retail range, including the recently announced KB998 Rimini and Tera motorcycles.
"For existing and new bimota fans worldwide, we want to proudly display our Italian heritage at Misano, and what better way to reflect that than adopting the green of the Italian flag!"
It has been an eventful debut season for the bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team in the World Superbike Championship.
After five rounds in the KB998 Rimini's debut season, Bassani is in 10th in the standings with 63 points, and Lowes is 11th in the standings with 61 points.
