'I am ready to fight again...' - Toprak Razgatlioglu set his sights on an Estoril hat-trick after winning the Superpole Race

Gold & Goose

Toprak Razgatlioglu secured victory in the Superpole Race and quickly set his sights on a hat-trick of victories at Estoril.

After setting a new all-time lap record in Qualifying and dominating Race One on Saturday, Toprak Razgatlioglu carried his strong form into Sunday at Estoril.

The Turkish rider did the double at the Portuguese circuit as he claimed victory in the Superpole Race, after making light work of the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati riders.

Nicolo Bulega and Alvaro Bautista got ahead of Razgatlioglu at the first corner, but the BMW rider quickly regained control and was untouchable once he hit the front.

After extending his Championship lead, the two-time World Superbike Champion set his sights on Race Two and a potential hat-trick.

"For me it was a very strong, but hard race," Razgatlioglu told TNT Sports after the Superpole Race.

"Because I am pushing every lap, I am focused on my pace, and the pace was very strong. I was trying to keep setting 35.1's and 35.2's, but he [Nicolo Bulega] is also pushing me.

"But anyway, I will not give up. Phil [Marron] was talking to me [before the race], and said, 'we don't need to win the race if you feel the limit, second place is enough'.

"I know this, but sometimes I make a plan before the race, but sometimes everything changes in the race. My feeling is good, I am pushing so hard, but my feeling is good, and I am just focused on winning the race.

"Finally, I win again, but now Race Two becomes the important one for me. It will be hotter than this, but we will see if the weather stays like this; it will be good for me. Because in the hot conditions Ducati have a big advantage.

"I am ready to fight again, and I will try to do the hat-trick."
