Nicolo Bulega topped the World Superbike Test across both days of track action at the Circuito do Jerez.
The second day of the Jerez Test was once again topped by the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati rider, Nicolo Bulega, on the new Ducati Panigale V4 R.
Bulega topped the opening day of the test on his new machine and, with a day's worth of data, was able to go faster on the second and final day of the World Superbike test.
"It was quite a good half day, I think we improved a little bit, because we had a night of experience," Bulega told WorldSBK.com after the second day of the Jerez Test.
"I felt good from the first lap, I also felt good yesterday (21st of October), so today we just had to improve the turning a little bit. It is not 100%, but we did a little bit, so I am happy."
On the second day of the test, Bulega was able to improve the turning of his new machine, but lost some feeling under braking with the adjustments he made.
"I think we improved a little bit with the turning," he explained.
"But I was missing a little bit under braking compared to yesterday. So, in general, we improved a little bit, and we have good data for this winter, and I think all the guys in the garage will work a lot ahead of next year."
'I had to change my riding style...'
When asked about the new 2026 Ducati Panigale V4 R, the 2024 and 2025 World Superbike runner-up admitted that he has had to change his riding style to adapt to his new machine.
"You have to ride differently, because the bike is quite different," he stated.
"I had to change my riding style a little bit, but not by too much. It was nothing crazy, but a little bit. It was important to adapt and to understand what I have to do differently when I ride the bike. Now I can think during the winter."
Despite his blistering speed across the two days at Jerez, the Italian believes it is easier to go quick during Test days than in race weekends because you have more time and freedom.
"It is easier to go fast in the test, than in the race [weekends]," Bulega explained.
"Because, in the test, you can try a lot of things and understand the adjustments they make on the bike, and whether it is better or not. In the race [weekends], you do not have a lot of time; the sessions are short, so you do not have too much time, and you have to go fast. I think in the test it is easier to go faster."
