Andrea Iannone confirmed his departure from GoEleven and discussed his 'big project' for the 2026 season.
Ahead of the Estoril World Superbike Round, Andrea Iannone confirmed that he will be leaving the Team Pata GoEleven squad at the end of the 2025 season.
After two seasons with the Italian team, Iannone has claimed a race win and six further podiums across his time on the Ducati Panigale V4 R. However, he has had an underwhelming 2025 season with the team, as he has only featured on two podiums.
There had been talks from Iannone early on in the 2025 season that he would retire at the end of the year if he did not have a competitive ride for 2026. The 36-year-old believes he will be on the World Superbike grid next season, as he has a 'big project' for next season.
"About the future, I am really confident that next year I will be on the [World Superbike] grid," Iannone told WorldSBK.com.
"But in any case, it is still too early to explain everything. But we are working, and I think it is a big project, but at this moment it is not possible to show a lot."
There is still a lot of work to do before Iannone can confirm his 2026 plans, but he insists that he is focused on the final two rounds of the 2025 season with GoEleven, rather than his project for next season.
"It is not possible to confirm," he stated.
"But for sure, I know Gelete Nieto and my brother are working hard to make the best situation for me. I hope we can confirm everything as soon as possible.
"But now, in any case, I cannot confirm, it is not my job, I am focused on the last part of the Championship."
