"Honestly, I am really happy because I needed these two wins this Sunday," Bulega told WorldSBK.com.

"It was very, very, very difficult, because Toprak [Razgatlioglu] was always very strong and very aggressive. So, I tried to stay with him, answer his overtakes, and it was a very good two races and battles, I enjoyed it.

"In the end, I won two races, and it was fantastic. Yesterday, I was not very happy. I knew I had the speed, but I was not 100% happy with my bike. Thanks to my team, because we improved the bike from yesterday, and today I was faster."

Bulega went on to reveal what he and the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati squad did to gain an advantage over Razgatlioglu on Sunday.

"We tried to make the corner exit a little bit better, because in some places Toprak was faster," he explained.

"Today, he was still faster, but not like yesterday, so we recovered a little bit at that point. I am happy because it was not easy.

"Also, yesterday we realised we did not have much margin, but we bought out the small amount we had, and it was important."

With six races left of the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Bulega is 36 points behind Razgatlioglu and discussed his chances at winning the title.

"I think in my position I have to think race by race," he admitted.

"I have to try to win, and then we will see. Last year in Estoril, I won the Superpole Race, but it was my first year; this year, I feel faster and stronger. I will try to stay at the front, and then Jerez is a track that I like a lot, it is one of my favourites."
