World Superbike rookie, Ryan Vickers, experienced Phillip Island for the first time this weekend.

Round One of the 2025 World Superbike season was also Ryan Vickers' debut in the Championship. The British rider has moved onto the world stage after competing in the British Superbike Championship in 2024.

Before the opening round of the season Motocorsa Racing boss, Lorenzo Mauri, stated that Vickers had been exceeding their expectations.

Across his first weekend in the class, Vickers finished all three races and scored four points. The 26-year-old finished 13th, 15th and 15th places at Phillip Island and is 15th in the standings.

After Round One Vickers said: "The first round here in Phillip Island is over.

"I am very happy with these first races in the World Superbike championship because we managed to get some points both yesterday and today, Phillip Island is a very difficult circuit, so to get these results makes me quite satisfied.

"I am the Rookie rider with the least experience on this track, but despite that, we were able to improve. It was a good race today, I made a mistake on the first lap and we lost some positions, we could have been back in P13 at least.

"We are all working very hard, now we will have five weeks off, in which we will analyse other things, I will train and work to improve and get back on track in Portimao."
