Sam Lowes will be back in action this weekend at the final round of the 2025 World Superbike Championship.
After missing all three races at the Estoril World Superbike Round, Sam Lowes will be back in action at the final round of the 2025 season.
The British rider was declared unfit last weekend at the Portuguese circuit after Free Practice Three on Saturday morning due to a chest contusion. However, has been declared fit on Thursday ahead of the Spanish World Superbike Round.
Lowes had been off to a solid start at Estoril last weekend, but ended up having to watch from the sidelines. Whilst watching, he saw his brother, Alex Lowes, jump him in the Championship, moving from sixth to seventh place.
Sam and Alex Lowes will both be on track this weekend at Jerez and will be battling it out for sixth place in the 2025 World Superbike Championship.
This weekend marks the end of Lowes' second season in the World Superbike Championship with the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team. After a difficult first season due to injuries, the 2025 season has been a vast improvement as he has featured on five podiums.
With three races left of his sophomore season, the highest Lowes can end the season is sixth in the Championship standings, but could find himself in the fight for further podium finishes.
Lowes will remain in the World Superbike Championship for the 2026 season with the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team on the Ducati Panigale V4 R.
