Sam Lowes is 'prepared to be in the mix again' this weekend at Aragon

Gold & Goose

After a difficult weekend at Magny-Cours, Sam Lowes is prepared to fight at the front at MotorLand Aragon.

Last time out at Magny-Cours, Sam Lowes had a disastrous weekend at the French circuit as he finished ninth in Race One and failed to finish the Sunday races.

However, Lowes is hopeful for this weekend as he heads to MotorLand Aragon, a circuit that in the past he has had great levels of success.

The British rider claimed three Grand Prix victories at MotorLand Aragon during his time in Moto2, but did not get a chance in World Superbikes last season as he crashed in the opening race and was unfit for the two Sunday races.

"It’s always a nice feeling to be heading to Aragón because it is a track I love and feel we can perform well there," Lowes said ahead of the Aragon World Superbike Round.

"I always enjoy riding at this track, and I’ve so many good memories from when I was racing in Moto2. I was pretty fast there a few weeks ago in testing, and we also did a lot of good work last week at the Jerez test, so I feel we are very well prepared to be in the mix again in Aragón.

"Magny-Cours obviously didn’t go as well as we hoped because I had great potential in France without getting the results the team deserved.

"But we’ve got three rounds remaining this season and I want to make the most of all of them and fight for some important results, and that means being in the battle for the podium."

With three race weekends left of the 2025 World Superbike season, Lowes finds himself sixth in the World Superbike Championship with 163 points and four podium finishes to his name.
