Toprak Razgatlioglu secured crucial points throughout 'a very hard weekend'

Gold & Goose

Three second places were all Toprak Razgatlioglu could manage during a difficult weekend at Cremona.

The Italian World Superbike Round was a difficult weekend for Toprak Razgatlioglu as he did not race at Cremona in 2024 like the majority of the field.

Razgatlioglu did not manage to win a race during the weekend, but finished in second place across all three races.

However, what did not help the two-time Champion was that his title rival, Nicolo Bulega, won all three races at the Cremona Circuit.

"For me, it was a very hard weekend, last year I didn’t race here, but we did a very good job," Razgatlioglu said after the Italian World Superbike Round.

"I’m searching for P1 still, but it's very hard. Ducati is at a big advantage here, especially on the corner exits. Ducati’s bike is working very well, and we are still trying to improve the grip, it is my biggest problem right now, and it affects our acceleration.

"But we did a good job, fought every lap and fought for the win. P2 is better than nothing, and they are good points for the Championship. We will have to see how Most goes."

After losing points to Bulega at the Italian Round of the 2025 season, Razgatlioglu is targeting a positive weekend at the Czech Republic Round at Most.

"All three races, in the first laps I was very close to Nicolo," Razgatlioglu explained.

"In the later laps, though, when the rear tyre starts to drop, that is where Ducati starts to take advantage. I am going to keep fighting, but it is very difficult because when I push hard, I start to lose the front tyre and the rear slides a lot.

"We are finishing all three races on the podium, and this is positive for us. Last year we had an incredible weekend at Most, we will have to see because the package is not like it was last year. We will see in Most, normally I am very strong there, but we will have to see."
