Nicolo Bulega and Ducati continue to lose out to Toprak Razgatlioglu and BMW throughout the 2025 World Superbike season.
After the French World Superbike Round, Nicolo Bulega has not won a race for the last four rounds, and last stood on the top step of the podium at Race Two at Most.
Across the last 12 races, Bulega has finished second in 10 races and has failed to score points on two separate occasions at Misano and Balaton Park.
"Every weekend is like this, I try to take the maximum points available," Bulega told WorldSBK.com.
"This weekend, this was the maximum. What can I say, we always try to improve, but at the moment it is difficult."
In the first five rounds of the season, Bulega claimed eight race wins across 15 races and failed to score points on two occasions due to technical issues.
With hopes of winning the 2025 World Superbike Championship, Bulega's chances are slipping away after Toprak Razgatlioglu and BMW bounced back in the second half of the season.
"For sure, it is not easy, we started this season trying to win, or at least fight for his Championship," he explained.
"But at the moment, it is not possible to fight, because BMW and Toprak have found something. They have been much faster in the last races than at the beginning of the season.
"So, for us, even when we are using 100% of our package, it is difficult to stay with them."
Despite frustrations from Ducati and Bulega, the Italian will continue to fight until the final round of the season at Jerez.
However, he knows that he needs improvements from Ducati if they want to compete with the German manufacturer and Turkish rider.
"I will try until the last race," he stated.
"But at the moment, to think about winning races, we have to think about how we can improve. We have tried many things to try and improve, but it has not been possible.
"We will never give up, but we still need something."
