Stats, facts and more stuff to amaze your friends ahead of this weekend's Oulton Park Bennetts British Superbike round

Oulton Park has held at least one round of the British Superbike Championship every year since 1996, a total of 111 races.

Those 111 races have seen 33 different race winners and 47 different riders stand on the podium – both of these figures are the highest for any BSB circuit.

With three wins at Silverstone, Glenn Irwin became just the ninth rider to score a hat-trick of victories in a single BSB race weekend after Ryuichi Kiyonari, Tommy Hill, Shane Byrne, Josh Brookes, Leon Haslam, Scott Redding, Jason O’Halloran and Tarran Mackenzie.

Irwin’s victories gave Honda their first treble since Kiyonari in 2010.

This is the second time in three years that Irwin and Honda Racing have led the championship after the opening round.

It’s also the second year in a row that a rider has won all three races at the opening round, Jason O;Halloran achieving the feat in 2021.

Glenn Irwin now has 25 career BSB podiums but only one of these is at Oulton Park, back in May 2017.

Andrew Irwin took his seventh British Superbike Championship podium in the final race of the weekend at Silverstone, which was also his 100th BSB race start.

Peter Hickman has now made 375 British Superbike Championship race starts.

Dan Linfoot will make his 250th BSB race start in the opening race of the weekend at Oulton.

Glenn Irwin is set to make his 150th British Superbike Championship race start in the second race of the weekend.

Luke Mossey is also due to make his 150th BSB race start this weekend, the Cambridgeshire rider set to achieve the landmark in the final race on Sunday.

Ryan Vickers will make his 75th British Superbike Championship race start in the first race of the weekend at Oulton.

Danny Kent is scheduled to make his 25th BSB start in race two at Oulton Park this weekend.

Ryuichi Kiyonari is the most successful rider at Oulton Park with 12 wins followed by Shane Byrne (11), Leon Haslam (9), Josh Brookes (8), Steve Hislop (7), John Reynolds, Tommy Hill and Jason O’Halloran (all 5) and Leon Camier and Tommy Bridewell (both 4).

Bridewell’s four wins are the most he’s attained at any BSB circuit.

Double race wins (or three) have been taken at Oulton Park on 22 occasions – Troy Bayliss (1999), Steve Hislop (2001), Shane Byrne (2003, 2008 and 2015), Yukio Kagayama (2004), John Reynolds (2004), Ryuichi Kiyonari (2005, 2006, 2010 and 2014), Gregorio Lavilla (2006), Leon Haslam (2007, 2016 and 2018), Tom Sykes (2008), Leon Camier (2009), Tommy Hill (2012), Jake Dixon (2018), Josh Brookes (2019) and Jason O”Halloran (2020 and 2021).

Shane Byrne has taken the most podiums at Oulton Park with 33 followed by Josh Brookes (30), John Reynolds (23), Leon Haslam (19), Michael Rutter (15), Ryuichi Kiyonari and James Ellison (both 14), Tommy Bridewell (13), Steve Hislop (12), Tommy Hill (11) and Chris Walker (10).

Josh Brookes (30), Tommy Bridewell (13) and Bradley Ray (4) have finished on the podium more times at Oulton Park than at any other BSB circuit. Christian Iddon’s tally of nine podiums is his equal best with the Brands Hatch GP circuit.

Ray’s four podiums at Oulton is exactly a third of his 12 BSB career podiums.

Dan Linfoot, Danny Buchan and Bradley Ray took their first ever BSB podiums at Oulton Park in 2014, 2015 and 2017 respectively.

Ducati are the most successful manufacturer at Oulton with 35 wins followed by Yamaha (25), Honda and Kawasaki (both 18), Suzuki (11) and BMW (4).

Yamaha have won six of the last nine BSB races to be held at Oulton Park.

Ducati’s last wins at Oulton came in September last year when Tommy Bridewell won the second and third races.

Yamaha’s last win at Oulton Park was also in September last year when Tarran Mackenzie won the first race; that was his first win and first podium at the venue

Kawasaki’s last win at Oulton Park was in 2018 with Jake Dixon.

Honda’s last win at Oulton Park was in 2017 with Dan Linfoot.

BMW’s last win at Oulton came in 2016 with Richard Cooper.

Suzuki’s last victory at Oulton was in 2013 with Josh Brookes.
