Ryan Vickers had gone six rounds of the 2026 BSB season without a podium, but has now won four of the last six races.

The Honda Racing UK rider started his Cadwell Park BSB weekend with a crash in Race 1 on Sunday, but responded well with victory in both Monday races, beating Bradley Ray on both occasions.

Having come from such a tough first part of the season, Vickers admitted that his recent run of form wouldn’t have been believable to him if he’d been told at the start of the year.

“I can’t believe it, honestly,” Vickers said after winning Race 3, speaking to TNT Sports.

“Looking at this at the start of the year I wouldn’t have believed it. Done the double the last two Sunday– technically Monday, but race day. 

“We knew what we had to do, got an amazing start, straight into the lead, and I literally did a carbon copy of Race 2, and just tried to ride as good as I could. 

“At the start of the race when I had a bit of tyre I was trying to break the field a little bit, setting some decent lap times. Then, when I saw ‘28’ on my board I thought ‘It’s me and you to the end now’, and that was it. 

“I thought ‘Right, I’ve just got to try and deal with Brad now’, and did a carbon copy of what I did in the first race: used the strength of the bike, used all the racecraft I’ve ever learnt and managed to defend everywhere. 

“I knew Brad was there right on my tail. Thanks to the team, thanks to all my sponsors – a fantastic weekend. 

“I’ve always wanted to do it here at Cadwell, it’s always been one of my favourite places, and to finally do the double on the [Monday], it’s a dream come true.”

Despite the recent success, Vickers feels the next round at Assen will not favour himself and Honda so much.

“I don’t think we’ll be quite as strong as here [at Assen],” he said.

“We like the stop-start parts of the race circuit at the moment, braking is very strong. But I think there it’s generally all fast corners, so maybe we can adjust the setup a little bit and make [the best of the track].”
