SymCirrus Motorsport has announced its partnership with Kawasaki for the 2024 BSB season, in which it will be competing in the National Superstock, National Sportbike, and Kawasaki Superteen classes.
Although the Navarra BSB got the British Superbike Championship off to a Spanish start just under two weeks ago, the new Sportbike and Superteen classes will kick off this weekend at Oulton Park, as well as the National Superstock class.
SymCirrus will compete with technical support from MSS Performance and Corby Kawasaki in the 2024 National Sportbike Championship, where it will run three Ninja 650s for Lennon Doherty, Charlie Atkins, and Jack Kirsch.
In the Superteen class, Luca Hopkins will race SymCirrus' ZX-4RR, while Ed Best will ride the team's ZX-10RR in the National Superstock class.
Steve Holborough, SymCirrus Motorsport Kawasaki Team Owner, said: “I am excited to be part of the new sportbike class and working with the series and Kawasaki we are looking forward to seeing what the Ninja 650 is capable of. It’s a learning process and we will judge the success on the results at the end of the season. Thank you to all of those involved to date, Corby Kawasaki, Steve Hill, EBC and R&G.”
Ross Burridge, Head of Marketing & Racing Department at Kawasaki UK, said: “We are really excited by the new Championships in the BSB series as it allows us to showcase more of the Kawasaki range, and it’s fantastic to be partnering with SymCirrus Motorsport for the 2024 season. They have a long and successful pedigree in the paddock and they have been working hard to develop the Ninja 650 for the new Sportbike series, so we are really excited to see what they can do when the Championship gets underway this weekend.”
