A British MotoGP wildcard has been scheduled for both Peter Hickman and Josh Brookes at Silverstone later this year.
Both will be competing in what BSB is calling a "showcase event" for the National Superstock class that will run as a support class to MotoGP when it visits Silverstone on 2-4 August.

In addition to two-time BSB champion Brookes and 13-time TT winner Hickman - whose 136.358mph lap record of the TT Mountain Course was set on Superstock-spec machinery last year - there will also be a wildcard appearance from 23-time TT winner John McGuinness.
The entry list is also expected to feature the full-time National Superstock field, including 2022 champion Davey Todd, Joe Talbot, and Josh Owens who raced in the Superbike class before getting injured in 2023.
In the past, the Silverstone 200 support event was featured on the British Grand Prix weekend, featuring riders from the British Superbike, British Supersport, and National Superstock championships. The Silverstone 200 debuted in 2012 with a two-race format. Both were won that year by Shane Byrne on the Rapid Solicitors Kawasaki that he would go on to win the 2012 BSB title on.
The MotoGP British Grand Prix is scheduled for 2-4 August at Silverstone. It will be the first race after the summer break, and is now set to be the 10th round of the 2024 season after the postponement of the Kazakhstan Grand Prix that was announced earlier this week.
