One of Toprak Razgatlioglu's World Superbike rivals has warned him about a potential move to MotoGP.

Toprak Razgatlioglu and his manager, Kenan Sofuoglu, have been searching for a way into the MotoGP World Championship.

However, Alvaro Bautista has warned Razgatlioglu about a negative side to his potential switch to Grand Prix racing.

Razgatlioglu has reportedly received interest from Yamaha and Honda, who are expected to offer the two-time World Champion different deals for a way into MotoGP.

Alvaro Bautista's warning to Toprak Razgatlioglu:

"I would stay here but I say that because I have raced in the top class and I have experience," Bautista told GPOne.

"He, on the other hand, having never raced there, it’s obvious he wants to try.

"You have to consider that while among the production-based series he is a superstar, but in the premier class if you finish fifth you are nobody.

"It will be up to him. I would not move, but it is right to try and I think if you asked him he would say yes."

Bautista himself raced in MotoGP full-time from 2010 to 2018, with different manufacturers such as Suzuki, Honda, Aprilia and Ducati.

The Spaniard then moved to World Superbikes in 2019, before winning the 2022 and 2023 World Superbike titles with the Aruba.it Racing - Ducati.

Razgatlioglu's 2025 World Superbike season:

The Turkish rider came into the 2025 season as the reigning World Superbike Champion after dominating the 2024 season.

However, he has been under pressure from Ducati in the opening four rounds of the year. Razgatlioglu's main rival has been Bautista's young Italian teammate, Nicolo Bulega.

Razgatlioglu has won four races this season and currently sits second in the 2025 World Superbike Championship. He is 34 points behind Bulega after 15 races, and could be in danger of losing his #1 plate at the end of the year.
