'I don't feel anything' - Francesco Bagnaia explains his British Grand Prix crash

Gold & Goose

Francesco Bagnaia failed to finish the British Grand Prix after suffering a terrible weekend at Silverstone.

The British Grand Prix looked like it could be a positive weekend for Francesco Bagnaia, the two-time MotoGP Champion qualified ahead of his teammate for the first time in 2025.

However, the two races across the weekend were not what Bagnaia expected at the Silverstone Circuit. The Italian finished sixth in the Sprint Race, before crashing out of the Grand Prix on Sunday while he was outside of the top ten.

"In the first start everything was fantastic, my feeling was good," Bagnaia explained after crashing out of the British Grand Prix.

"My feeling was good enough to follow Fabio [Quartararo] and open up a gap to the guys behind. Then, when we restarted, I changed the rear tyre, and nothing was working.

"I started to lose positions, and I had no traction. I lost a lot of places at Turn Nine when I lost the rear, and I had to go wide. Then at Turn Seven, I crashed in a way that was not normal.

"It is clear today that something more happened. If we look at the situation in general, it is clear that something is not working.

"This weekend our bike was not competitive, the only one who was competitive was Marc, because he is able to hide the problems of our bike."

He went on to explain how the feeling of his Ducati GP25 did not improve during the weekend, and instead, he did not get any feeling from the bike.

"The feeling was not better, and it was not worse, I do not feel anything", he stated.

The upcoming circuits of Aragon, Mugello and Assen have been successful circuits for Bagnaia. However, he does not believe he will be competitive there this season.

"I need a complete solution," he explained when asked if he would be more competitive at the next races.

"I know that I am super fast, and that I could win every race. But if my feeling remains the same, then I cannot do a miracle, I just need some help, and I know my team is working super hard to get what I want."
