Results from the Sprint at the 2026 MotoGP British Grand Prix, round 12 of the 2026 season.

Jorge Martin took victory in the Silverstone Sprint, leading from lights to flag after starting from pole.

If Martin led the whole race, Ai Ogura was second throughout, finishing 1.5 seconds behind in the end.

The race was more complicated for Marco Bezzecchi, who initially moved forwards at the start with some aggressive moves in the first corners, but he then dropped back to fifth behind Marc Marquez.

But Ducati's tyre life proved worse than Aprilias, which helped Bezzecchi to advance up to third place as Marquez and Fabio Di Giannantonio fell backwards.

Alex Marquez also took advantage of the late tyre wear problems for the other Ducati riders, moving up from seventh to fourth, also with some help from a crash for Raul Fernandez.

Di Giannantonio took fifth place ahead of Pedro Acosta, Joan Mir, and Franco Morbidelli, all of whom passed Marc Marquez late on, leaving the reigning champion only ninth. Diogo Moreira completed the top-10.

Qualifying

Jorge Martin took pole right at the death of qualifying at the British Grand Prix, beating Raul Fernandez to a new Silverstone lap record by 0.021 seconds. Fernandez and his Trackhouse teammate Ai Ogura made it an all-Aprilia front row.

Fabio Di Giannantonio took fourth, ahead of Marco Bezzecchi and Marc Marquez in the top-six. Alex Marquez was seventh, ahead of Franco Morbidelli, Pedro Acosta, Iker Lecuona, Jack Miller, and Joan Mir.
