Fraser Rogers admits he ‘didn’t really know’ whether he would ever get the chance to prove his worth in the British Superbike Championship as he relished landing his first BSB podium in a fine showing at Knockhill following a long lay-off through injury.

The TAG Racing Honda rider - a renowned wet weather specialist - strung together his strongest weekend at BSB level amid inclement weather conditions at Knockhill, culminating in him standing on the podium for the first time during Race 3.

Having already equalled his career best BSB result in the damp of Race 2, Rogers revelled in the heavier rain of the final encounter as he took on and defeated Christian Iddon in a fight for the final spot on the rostrum.

Bettering his best results in BSB from a year earlier at Knockhill, that performance was swiftly followed by an accident soon after in training that left Rogers nursing two broken legs, forcing him out for the remainder of the year.

Only returning to action at the start of 2025, Rogers says he has had to ‘come back from rock bottom’ to reach his achievement in Scotland.

“Emotional is one way to put it,” Rogers beamed after Race 3. “Now I have composed myself, I am proud of what I have done, how far I have come, how far the team has come, how far we have developed everything.

“I know it was wet but we have been competitive throughout the weekend so to fight with the boys for the podium is just amazing. It was a whole load of emotions, I think it will take a while to sink in. I can’t believe I’m here.

“They’ve had a rough few years and so have I, so to repay them with a trophy, my first BSB podium is pretty special.

“As a rider, you always think you’ll be back and at the best of your performance, but deep down you don’t really know. To get back to the performance and level I’m at physically, mentally, is just another thing that makes me emotional, because I’ve had to come back from rock bottom and rebuild, so to repay everyone with a podium… I just don’t know what to say.”

As well as being a new personal best for Rogers, the result marks TAG Racing’s first BSB podium since 2019.
