Results from Race 1 at the second Oulton Park round of the 2026 BSB season, the sixth round of the year.

Bradley Ray took a hard-fought win in Race 1 at Oulton Park, winning out in a multi-rider scrap despite dropping back mid-race.

Ray was in the top-three early on when the race was led by the Bimotas of Max Cook and Joe Talbot, but when the Ducatis of Storm Stacey and Leon Haslam made their way into the mix Ray began to fall back.

However, on lap 11 he stabilised himself in third place, and then began moving forwards again, taking the lead at the beginning of lap seven.

He was unable to pull away initially, but as Kyle Ryde - who was fourth directly behind Ray on lap 11 - began to battle with Leon Haslam a gap of around one second emerged behind the McAMS Yamaha rider.

Ryde had come from 10th on the grid to get to second with three laps to go, but the gap to Ray was too much to overcome in the short time left, and the 2022 champion held on for his second win of the season.

Ryde took a strong second despite his poor grid position, ahead of Haslam who completed the podium. Storm Stacey just missed out in fourth, but held on ahead of Scott Redding who rounded out the top-five.

Ryan Vickers took sixth place ahead of Joe Talbot, who slipped backwards after running in second in the opening laps. Jason O'Halloran, Christian Iddon, and Glenn Irwin completed the top-10.

Max Cook crashed out of fourth place on lap 16, but was able to walk away. Rory Skinner also crashed out at the Shell Oils hairpin on the second lap, meaning his grid position will also be compromised for Race 2.

Qualifying

Max Cook took pole position with a new BSB lap record for Oulton Park as the top-five all lapped in the 1:32s.

Storm Stacey and Bradley Ray completed the front row behind Cook, ahead of Leon Haslam, Joe Talbot, and Scott Redding in the top-six.

Ryan Vickers, Rory Skinner, and Ilya Mikhalchik will start from the third row, while championship leader Kyle Ryde qualified down in 10th. Ryde will be joined by Glenn Irwin and Jason O'Halloran on the fourth row.

FP3

Leon Haslam was fastest in the final practice session ahead of qualifying at Oulton Park, as the top-10 all lapped in the 1:33s.

Kyle Ryde was back up into the top-two after crashing in pre-qualifying on Friday afternoon, although that crash did not prevent him from advancing directly to Q2.

Max Cook completed the top-three this morning ahead of Bradley Ray, Jason O'Halloran, Ryan Vickers, Rory Skinner, Storm Stacey, Ilya Mikhalchik, and Scott Redding who rounded out the top-10.

Glenn Irwin was able to lap more representatively in FP3 than he managed on Friday, finishing 12th.
