A Donington Park hat-trick allowed Toprak Razgatlioglu to take control of the World Superbike Championship.
Toprak Razgatlioglu and the ROKiT BMW Motorrad WorldSBK Team arrived at Donington Park off the back of a hat-trick of wins at Misano.
The Turkish rider has made it clear in the past that Donington Park is his favourite track, and he set himself the goal of winning all three races on his final weekend at the circuit before his move to MotoGP.
Razgatlioglu achieved his goal as he dominated all three races across the United Kingdom WorldSBK Round.
"I am very happy because this is my last weekend at Donington Park," Razgatlioglu told WorldSBK.com.
"Before we came here I set myself the target to achieve the hat-trick, which I did, so I am very happy for that."
He added: "I love this track, it is my favourite track, and I am lucky that when I ride here, I enjoy riding here. I have had some very special wins here, but next year I will not continue here.
"But this is good because 12 wins is amazing, because I broke the record. But before I move to MotoGP I need some more wins."
After beating Bulega in all three races, Razgatlioglu is now the World Superbike Championship leader, but as usual, the two-time Champion is more focused on race wins than the Championship standings.
"It is good, but I am not focused on this," he explained.
"I am just focused on going race by race, and winning the race. Because this year, we are getting better because we have improved the bike, and I have adapted to the bike.
"We are starting to get some wins, these ones are good because I am always strong here. The next races are in Balaton, the track is new for everyone, so we will see there but I hope we win."
With 15 races left of the 2025 season, and four points separating Razgatlioglu and Nicolo Bulega, he expects a big fight to begin between the two riders for the Championship.
"It looks like we will be fighting a lot," he stated.
"If we win the races in Balaton, this will be good for me, because I will have opened up a gap. But Nicolo is strong at some circuits, but I am strong at some circuits as well.
"We will see, but it looks like we are starting a big battle."
