Rory Skinner was back on a British Superbike podium for the first time since his race win at Knockhill in July.
After a disappointing weekend at Cadwell Park, Rory Skinner and the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati squad bounced back at Donington Park.
The Scottish rider had not featured on a British Superbike podium since his race win at Knockhill in July. However, across the four races at Donington Park, he featured on three podiums with a second place and two third places.
"I had a great weekend, I really enjoyed my riding," Skinner said after Race Four at Donington Park.
"I really felt good on the Cheshire Mouldings Ducati, it has not been an easy time; these have been the three tracks I missed time at last year with my broken leg.
"We worked hard all weekend to find a setting that works. We have struggled a bit with turning and grip, and in that last race, we seemed to have it sorted.
"It was the first time all weekend that I have been able to relax, and ride how I normally ride, and not force it, and just ride into it.
"To see Brad [Ray] and Kyle [Ryde] coming back to me in one or two places, and making moves for the lead, it felt good.
"Honestly, just a huge thank you to the team for their relentless work. They have been working non-stop to find the feeling that I desire, and we got it."
The British Superbike Showdown begins in two weeks at the TT Circuit Assen, a track that Skinner enjoys and believes he will be able to carry on his strong form at.
"I like Assen, it is a good track, it is fast, really fast," he explained.
"It is a proper rider's track, so I am excited to get there, I think it will be good fun, and hopefully I can carry on this run of form."
