It had been three race weeks without a podium for Jake Dixon, but at the Catalan Grand Prix, he returned to the rostrum.

However, during the race, Dixon was unable to fight with Daniel Holgado for victory. But the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team rider did secure a second-place finish on the Boscoscuro.

"I’m super happy. I had a bit of drought since the Sachsenring without a podium," Dixon said.

"I’m delighted to be back and I want to thank Marina (Rossi), Patrick (Kramer) and all the guys and girls in my team. First and foremost, I hope Filip’s OK because I heard he crashed.

"We picked up where we left off at Balaton Park. I’ve had a personnel change in the team. I feel much better on the bike now, and I’m able to ride in the way that I need to. I don’t think it will be easy from here, but we’ve built on the solid base from the last round here.

"Misano is a track where I’ve struggled in the past but I’m happy to go there in good form. Let’s keep this run going and do the same again at the next one."

After 15 rounds of the 2025 Moto2 World Championship, Dixon remains fifth in the standings and has two race wins and two further podiums to his name.
