Due to an incident on the Moto3 Sighting Lap, the Malaysian Grand Prix has been rescheduled due to lengthy delays.
The MotoGP Malaysian Grand Prix has been rescheduled after lengthy delays due to an incident on the Sighting Lap for the Moto3 Race.
During the Sighting Lap, Jose Antonio Rueda and Noah Dettwiler collided between Turns 3 and 4, which caused Red Flags to be immediately shown.
Both riders were receiving medical attention trackside, but were confirmed to be conscious. However, the Medical Director has confirmed that the 2025 Moto3 World Champion, Jose Antonio Rueda and the CIP Green Power rider, Noah Dettwiler, have been transported to the local hospital via helicopter.
Due to these delays, the schedule for Sunday at the Petronas Sepang International Circuit has been changed.
The Moto3 Race is set to start at 13:40 Local Time, 05:40 am GMT, and it will be a 10-lap race rather than a 15-lap race. There have also been changes for the MotoGP and Moto2 races, as they have changed the order of the races.
The MotoGP Grand Prix will be the second race of the day and will begin at 15:00 Local Time, 07:00 am GMT, which is the same time that it was originally scheduled for.
However, the Moto2 Race has been changed significantly as it is now the final race of the weekend and instead of getting underway at 13:15 Local Time (05:15 am GMT), it will now get underway at 16:30 Local Time, which is 08:30 am GMT.

MotoGP Race (20 Laps) - 15:00 Local Time (07:00 am GMT)
Moto2 Race (17 Laps) - 16:30 Local Time (08:30 am GMT)
