Reigning World Champion Casey Stoner has criticised fellow HRC man Alvaro Bautista for nearly causing an accident during final MotoGP free practice when the Spanish San Carlo rider nearly caused the Aussie to run into the back of him.

Stoner, who says he was held up at the start of the 45-minute session as well, encountered Bautista on his last run before the chequered flag and, according to the Repsol Honda man, had to take some evasive action in order to avoid a crash.

"He put his leg out for me to go past and then continued on the racing line and round here there aren't many places to go and I thought, 'Ok, he is just going to run on and let me come up the inside' and then I went to brake in my normal place as I was on a reasonable lap and all of a sudden he just turns across in front of me, again more or less on the racing line," said Stoner, speaking to bikesportnews.com at Losail.

"So I was braking like crazy because exactly where he was is where I run out and back again, and I was so close to hitting his arse again. It's really frustrating that people who have that much experience in grands prix continue to do the same things. If he wants to get a lap, get out of the way, then get in behind, don't get in the way.

"I've seen it so many times before. I nearly lost the front when I went in because I had to brake so much harder not to run into him because his bike was exactly where I normally take my line and it was a little bit hairy not to run into the back of him."
