Tyco Suzuki rider PJ Jacobsen felt happy with the progress he has made so far, as he set the seventh fastest time in the final MCE British Superbike practice session of the day at Snetterton this afternoon.

The New Yorker was not at the official test at the 300 circuit last week, and during the testing in March the rider experienced technical issues, so today was the youngster 's first challenge of the track, and he hopes he will improve for qualifying tomorrow.

“I went pretty good, as I was not here for the official BSB test, but we ran a track in Ireland and we are doing some testing and we have done pretty good and found some new stuff. The first session I was sixteenth and it didn’t go too great, but that was usual as I have never been here really before," said Jacobsen, speaking to bikesportnews.com from the circuit.

"I was here at the first test of the year, but I had a bike problem and only did ten laps, so it was kind of not too good for me. But this is my first real time going fast and really learning the track.

“We have been working on some chassis stuff and the suspension and we are close to getting the bike closer to where I want it to be. I want to keep doing what I am doing and I am trying at every race to do my best, and top tens at every weekend would be great too.”
