Monster Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow says Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa will still be the men to beat at this weekend's Laguna Seca MotoGP round despiite both the Spaniard's carrying injuries from the Sachsenring.
Lorenzo has undergone another operation on the collarbone he broke at Assen after denting the plate in Germany while a monster highside for Pedrosa left him with a small fracture of his own collarbone.
"I know those two, they don't seem to make mistakes in races so it's going to be another tough weekend for all of us as I expect them to be there and be fast as well. They are the guys to beat I believe, along with Marc and Valentino as well, so we need to make sure we are having a good weekend," said Crutchlow, speaking at Laguna.
Crutchlow also suffered a brace of accidents at the Sachsenring, the second of which left him with burns and bruising on his left arm, and also some effects of nausea which have been checked out.
"Ever since I have eaten after the crash I have felt quite sick afterwards. I don't really know why but I have had to have some checks this week and they went quite well so I think it was just a case of hitting my body quite hard.
"The few crashes we have had this year certainly hurt. I hurt my leg at Le Mans and the recent crashes have all been pretty big so I look forward to the recovery and staying out in California to recover quite well."
