Nine-time world champion Valentino Rossi has said MotoGP bikes are too perfect and the their power should be cut in order to make the racing a better spectacle.
Rossi believes that all the electronics on a modern MotoGP makes it very difficult to pass because laptimes stay almost constant for an entire race and no-one makes mistakes that can be capitalised on by other riders.
"The bikes are amazing but too perfect. I like but for have a better race, we have to change the computer of the bike and put a computer with 50-60 per cent less power because the electronics are very important for the safety but now we have a lot of electronics that are for the performance," said Rossi, speaking at Silverstone.
"When you have the computer set for full throttle it is difficult to gain something on the other guy. Maybe for the future, we go back a bit the level of the bike and the race will return more fun with some more mistakes because now the rhythm is very constant from the first lap to the end."
