Reigning MotoGP World Champion Marc Marquez has revealed he wasn’t able to put weight on his broken leg five days ago but believes that now he is mobile, he should be able to perform at this weekend’s Qatar MotoGP opener.
The Repsol Honda man broke his leg in a dirt-track crash before the second Sepang test and hasn’t ridden since then. He also missed the Phillip Island test and has missed out on physical training whle he was laid up.
“I wasn’t able to walk five days ago but it is coming better now. I think if I can walk then riding won’t be a problem. It was shard to be at home with the other riders testing and doing many laps,” said Marquez, speaking at Qatar.
“My condition is not 100 per cent but with my injury I wasn’t able to train. Long distance may be difficult but I feel ok and can’t wait to get out there. It was important that I felt good in the first test. The injury will be the biggest problem and over the weekend I need to check it as the right-hand corners will be more difficult.”
