GBmoto Kawasaki’s James Ellison managed to end his string of MCE British Superbike third-place finishes with a second in race two at Snetterton and now wants to take it one place higher this weekend at Knockhill.
However, the Cumbrian is well aware that passing at the short Scottish track is difficult with only two recognised places to put a move on the competition.
“I’m feeling great going into Knockhill, we know as a team what we need to do to improve and are working on that everyday. It will be important to get a front row start there as its quite a narrow track but I've won from worse positions, so it's not a deal breaker if we don't manage to pull it off in Qualifying,” said Ellison.
“It is however a difficult place to pass at Knockhill due to the short straights, you only really have the final hairpin or a ballsy move into turn one so we need to be on our A game for sure. I'm hoping for a dry race but we all know that Knockhill has it's own climate so we'll have to just deal with whatever card Mother Nature deals us. I'm excited to get back out on the Kawasaki.”
