PR Racing’s Keith Farmer is one happy rider this evening, after he came away with his first podium finish in the MCE British Superbike championship at Brands Hatch. He came third in a wet race two, just losing out on second place to Anvil Hire Tag Racing’s Richard Cooper.
The former Pirelli National Superstock 1000 champ did find the conditions difficult but he certainly didn’t show it out on the GP circuit this afternoon. He knew he didn’t have the pace to catch up to the eventual race winner, Tyco Suzuki’s Josh Waters but he is content with his performance this weekend.
“It was one of those moments where you don’t know how hard to push. Once I got ahead of Richard Cooper I knew I couldn’t get to the front to catch up with Josh to get the win. But then Richard came past me again and we had a great battle. But I am just grateful to be on the box – and hopefully more will come soon too,” said Farmer, at the track.
