AIRWAVES BACK GSE RACING AGAIN FOR 2009

GSE Racing will morph into Airwaves Yamaha for the 2009 British Superbike season after Wrigleys confirmed today it will continue to back the 2008 BSB winning squad.

In a time when sponsorship is hard to come by and manufacturers are pulling out of motorsport left, right and centre, GSE team principal Darrell Healey must be thankful his wallet can stay full next year.

Toby Baker, Wrigley’s Marketing Director, said: “Airwaves has had four fantastic years as title sponsor of GSE Racing and we’re looking forward to continuing our association as Airwaves Yamaha in 2009.

"After a title winning season in 2008 I know the team will be working hard to maintain our status as the best team in the paddock. With two talented riders in Leon Camier and James Ellison, Airwaves Yamaha is sure to provide more superb racing."

Colin Wright, GSE Racing Team Manager, added: “I am extremely pleased that Wrigley’s Airwaves will continue to support GSE Racing as we compete for a record fifth British Superbike championship. Next season will mark the start of an exciting new era for the team and one which would not be possible without the support of sponsors such as Airwaves.”
