GBmoto's Tristan Palmer will start tomorrow's opening British Superbike race at Brands Hatch from the outside of the front row after a stunning performance in mixed conditions during today's qualifying session.
The 2007 Superbike Cup Champion joins works riders Josh Brookes, Jon Kirkham and Shane Byrne at the head of the grid after being near the top of the timesheets for most of the weekend in Kent.
"After some good progression over the last two days, I'm really pleased to put it all together today and secure fourth on the grid. With changeable conditions, it was a bit tricky, but I was feeling quite confident. Making it into the last 20, and then the last 10, was amazing. We made some suspension changes to get some more grip out of the wet tyres. This obviously worked, and I was up into fourth place. This is brilliant first time out, my first proper front row in BSB and if it's wet or dry tomorrow I'm still looking forward to it," said Palmer.
