British Supersport veteran Paul Young has pulled out of this year's British Supersport series on the eve of the championship-opening weekend at Brands Hatch, citing a 'change in personal circumstances'.
The Aussie, who has British Superbike Cup and National Superstock titles to his name, has been a stalwart of the Oxford TAG Triumph team who have chosen not to replace him. Richard Coper and Christian Iddon will step up as team-leaders with Shaun Winfield also on the grid.
“Regrettably, due to a change in personal circumstances, I’m unable to commit to participating in the full 2012 British Championship series. Therefore I have made the extremely difficult decision to withdraw from riding for Oxford TAG Racing. I’d like to thank the team and all the sponsors for their friendship and support and I wish the team the very best of luck and success for the coming season," said Young.
