Primo Kawasaki's Chris Walker topped the final British Superbike free practice session at Brands Hatch this morning that started with a wet track but dried out sufficiently to allow the veteran to get into the 48s bracket.
Walker and Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes traded laptimes at the end of the 50 minutes but it was the Kawasaki man who came out on top by a quarter of a second ahead of the late charging Gary Mason aboard the Quattro Kawasaki.
Rain man Michael Rutter placed fourth on his Bathams Kawasaki while James Hiller, on the sister Primo bike, was fifth ahead of Dan Linfoot's Buildbase BMW. Shane Byrne and Tristan Palmer were next along followed by Jenny Tinmouth who led the session with 15 minutes to go.
Former World Supersport rider Florian Marino was tenth with Luke Quigley 11th, Freddy Foray 12th, John Laverty 13th, birthday boy Peter Hickman 14th and Noriyuki Haga 15th.
