Tyco Suzuki's Josh Brookes says he wants to break the pattern his 2013 MCE British Superbike season so far and finish on a high with at least a race win to his name this weekend at Brands Hatch.
The Bringelly rider has had a disappointing year by his own standards with only two wins so far and a blown engine in the first race at Silverstone put paid to his title chances for this year.
But Brookes is hopeful of a good end at a track where he won in July to reward his team for their hard work and persistence over the season.
"I want to break the pattern of this season and really try to go out on a high. We have worked hard this year but just haven't had the last bit to win races regularly, so it would be nice to get on the top step at the last round," said Brookes, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.
"In terms of approaching the three races, I won't do anything any differenty, I don't think, we just need to go through our work over the weekend and just try as hard as we can to get in amongst it from the start."
