New commercial deals will be announced soon by BSB, following the confirmation of Bennetts’ departure as title sponsor.
Bennetts’ announcement that it will be leaving BSB as title sponsor ahead of the 2026 season came on 5 January, around four months before the start of this year’s British Superbike Championship season.
A follow-up statement from BSB Series Director Stuart Higgs has confirmed that new commercial partnerships are to be announced.
“As we return from the Christmas break I would like to start by recognising and thanking Bennetts for their long standing support of the Championship which has come to an end,” the statement reads.
“As we enter the landmark 30th anniversary season there will be a new look to the presentation of the Championship with some exciting upscaled and new commercial partnerships which will be revealed over the coming weeks.
“Stay safe in the icy conditions, warm race weekends will be with us soon.”
Bennetts’ departure brought to an end a stint of eight seasons of BSB title sponsorship from the insurance company, which was previously the series’ headline sponsor from 2005 until 2008.
The 2026 season is due to begin on 2–4 May at Oulton Park, with Kyle Ryde looking to repeat his 2025 achievement of defending his crown. The last rider to win three successive crowns was Niall Mackenzie between 1996 and 1998. Mackenzie, of course, won all three of those titles with Yamaha, while Ryde will be attempting to win his third straight title with Ducati as the Nitrous Competitions team switches from YZF-R1 machinery over this winter.
