Leon Haslam kicked off the 2025 British Superbike Championship by taking top spot at Oulton Park.
The opening session of the 2025 British Superbike Championship saw Leon Haslam take top spot. The 2018 British Superbike Champion was 0.146 seconds clear of the field on his Moto Rapido Ducati.
It was the 2022 British Superbike Champion, Bradley Ray, in second place on the Raceways Yamaha. After two years in World Superbikes, Ray is back to prove a point in the British Championship.
Storm Stacey and the Bathams AJN Racing BMW squad finished the opening session in third. The Oulton Park Test looked promising for Stacey and he has started his weekend off in a great way.
Danny Kent was in fourth place in Free Practice One on the McAMS Yamaha. After winning a race at the end of the 2024 season the former Moto3 Champion is a favourite for the 2025 title.
The top Honda at the end of Free Practice One was DAO Racing Honda rider, Josh Brookes. The 2015 and 2020 British Superbike Champion has moved to DAO Racing for this season and was 0.550 seconds off of first in the opening session.
Tommy Bridewell was able to make his way into sixth place in Free Practice One. The 2023 British Superbike Champion did not have the easiest of pre-seasons but was on the pace when it mattered.
MasterMac Honda rider, Charlie Nesbitt, was able to end the opening session in seventh place. He was ahead of his former teammate and now DAO Racing rider, Lee Jackson, who ended the session in eighth.
Christian Iddon was the top Kawasaki rider in Free Practice One as he ended the opening session in ninth place for the AJN Steelstock Kawasaki squad.
Completing the top ten was the reigning British Superbike Champion, Kyle Ryde. The OMG Nitrous Competitions Racing rider was in tenth place and 1.042 seconds behind Haslam.
