CADWELL BSB: ELLISON WINS AS CAMIER THROWN OUT

Airwaves Yamaha's James Ellison has won the second Brtish Superbike race at Cadwell Park after team-mate Leon Camier's race win was declared void after he failed to pay attention to flags telling him to leave the track.

Camier's bike started to smoke on the final lap and he was shown a black flag with an orange spot on it which means he should have pulled off the track at the earliest opportunity but didn't.

The exclusion gave Ellison the win, Hydrex Honda's Stuart Easton was second and it means that Confused.com Simon Andrews takes his first ever British Superbike podium position in third.

Easton got off the line first as Camier went past Buildbase Kawasaki's John Laverty on the run into Coppice and was followed through by Andrews, but the Evesham man was demoted back to third almost immediately as Ellison slid underneath him.
It took Camier just one lap to get past Easton, diving inside on the brakes into Park and Ellison put the same move on the Scotsman three laps later and set about chasing down his team-mate.

On lap four, Andrews also got past Easton, this time into the tight Hairpin as Camier extended his lead to more than a second. A big oil leak from Michael 'Big Vern" Howarth's STP MV Agusta brought the safety car out on lap six as marshals tried to clear the track at Coppice.

After three laps under the Audi R8, which saw Easton's team-mate Karl Harris run of the track, it came in and Camier stretched away again. Easton tried a move on Andrews into Park on lap nine but ran wide.

He tried again a lap later and made it stick, but Andrews was past again into the Chicane. Meanwhile, Relentless Suzuki's Ian Lowry was in ninth and lapping faster than both Easton and Andrews but he crashed out on lap 16 at Park, but walked away.

With two laps to go, Easton got back past Andrews on the run into Park and managed to stay in front to take an eventual second place.
Chris Walker and Sylvain Guintoli are being investigated for an incident under the safety car.
