Swan Yamaha's Noriyuki Haga has suffered a badly broken left collarbone in an MCE British Superbike free practice crash at Cadwell Park this morning and has been ruled out of action this weekend.
The Samurai of Slide has snapped the bone very close to the shoulder which makes an operation very tricky so his team will make some decision as to the way forward early next week.
"Nori went into Mansfield a bit hot, came out on a different line, got on the gas a bit too hard and it spat him off in a big highside. In all honesty, he could probably ride at Donington but it would be very painful, so we will have to wait and see," said team boss Shaun Muir, speaking to bikesportnews.com this lunchtime.
