Tyco Suzuki’s PJ Jacobsen will start his first MCE British Superbike race at Cadwell Park, from fourth on the grid, but even with a good starting position the American is expecting a ‘dog fight’ out on the narrow track.
The 20-year-old excelled himself with some impressive lap times during qualifying yesterday, and Jacobsen hopes that he has proved a point to everyone that he can keep up with the more experienced riders. Jacobsen wants a good start this afternoon, and will try and ‘latch’ on to the front guys to be in chance of a podium.
“It is great and it is my first time racing here at Cadwell Park and I have to prove to everyone that I can race at the front. They only put three on the row here so that is a bummer but it is great to be on the second row for my first ever Cadwell Park race,” said Jacobsen, speaking to bikesportnews.com at the circuit.
“I need to get a good start here because there are loads of traffic and just go from there and I will try to latch on to Lowes, Ellison and Josh as it is going to be a dog fight.”
