CLARK REPLACES HUDSON AT CADWELL

Lincel-Seton Tuning’s Nick Clark will replace Hudson Kennaugh in the Fuchs-Silkolene British Supersport grid at Cadwell Park in two weeks thrillingly achieving one of his dreams and relishing in the opportunity to be on track with one of his most admired riders Steve Plater.
Clark normally runs in the Metzeler National Superstock 600cc championship along side teammate Josh Wainwright but following impressive developments in both as a rider and his skills Clark has been selected for probably one of the most wanted rides in the paddock.
“As you can image I am rather excited, I can’t explain how excited I am to be gaining the experience in that class and on that type of bike,” he ecstatically told www.bikesportnews.com this morning, “I haven’t stopped grinning and I’m telling everybody, I am sure they could get a number of riders to take that seat, its brilliant for me.”
“I would like a good result, obviously I am being realistic.  We are going to one of the most physical tracks of the year, I will be riding a lot more than I am used to and I’ve got a lot to learn with the difference in power, tyres, power suspension and data logging.  It will be a proper crash course in motorbike racing, but I am relishing in the opportunity.”
Clark has stood on the Superstock podium once at the second round at Oulton Park and even though he hasn’t obtained the results wanted on race day Clark is a rider that constantly qualifies in or just outside the top ten and sees him prove many times in the race he has the pace and ability before events take a turn for the worse.
Clark said: “I think this year I have shown a good pace, a lot better pace than last year.  Consistency has been a bit of problem for us and getting the right setup.  We’ve since found out at Brands we had the wrong setup, I was trying to race around the problems.  I’m still trying to learn quickly how to setup the bike, but my pace is good.”
Clark has never ridden a bike with the specification that the Supersport Yamaha R6 will provide, it is hoped that Clark will be able to gain one day testing at Cadwell to help put him in a slightly better position for being on the pace for the race weekend.  Either way he fully intends to make the most of this opportunity to learn and produce an impressive result for the team.
Team Owner Phil Seton said: “As our team’s top performing rider this year Nick has been given the opportunity on merit. His excellent attitude, undoubted ability, and willingness to give 100% in every situation are the attributes or a rider worthy of the opportunity he has been given. We wish him the best of luck.”
The next round takes place over the August bank holiday at the Lincolnshire circuit with the practice sessions starting on Saturday 29th August.
