Donington BSB: Weaving snatches epic Motostar battle

South African Jordan Weaving snatched his second Monster Energy Motostar victory of the year, diving under the inside of Tarran Mackenzie after an epic last lap.

RS Racing's Andy Reid looked certain to take his first victory after his comeback from injury with a three second advantage, before he suffered a technical problem with just three laps remaining.

Mackenzie and Weaving were left to battle it out for the win and as they came out of the Foggy Esses on the last lap, Mackenzie went left and Weaving right as they sandwiched a back marker before Weaving dived under the inside of the young Scotsman at the Melbourne Loop. As they charged up towards Goddards the pair were rubbing shoulders, with Mackenzie the latest on the brakes but he was too late. The Red Bull Rookie competitor ran wide into Goddards, handing Weaving the victory.
