Howarth threatens return to British Superbike competition

Former British Superbike competitor Michael Howarth is threatening a return to competition next season, fielding himself in the Metzeler National Superstock 1000 series on a Ducati Panigale.

Howarth, who was recently described by none other than James Whitham as 'the shittest British Championship rider ever', has received an entry for the class while Ducati Corse have confirmed his purchase of their new Superbike. It isn't yet confirmed whether a tubby Tess Daly will be his brolly girl.

"It's all looking at t'moment. I am only planning to run me'sen in t'team for t'time being but if t'situation changes and I am able to run someone else or a lad in t'junior class I will definitely consider it," said the former posterboy for male incontinence products.

"I am looking forward to getting back on a bike again. Especially if it's wet cos I am pretty good in t'wet. I was telling someone on Saturday night how good I am in t'wet. 'Appen he snuck off home though…"
